                                                             FADE IN:

               EXT. LAKE - DAY

A FISHERMAN sits patiently in his rowing boat, in the
               middle of the lake.

               He munches on a sandwich.

               EXT. LAKE SHORE - DAY

LARS (28), unfit but keen, wearing baggy shorts, old
trainers with holes in, and a scruffy tee-shirt, warms up
               by the shore.

His stretches complete he jogs slowly around the shore,
               clockwise.

EXT. LAKE SHORE - MOMENTS LATER

Lars, already out of breath, struggling.

Lars slows to a stop, grabs the painful stitch in his side,
gulps in great lungfulls of air. Got to keep going, it's
               doing him good.

Lars runs again, slowly at first, sweat pouring off him.

A BEAUTIFUL WOMAN jogs towards him anti-clockwise, well
into her stride. The most beautiful woman Lars has ever
               seen.

He snaps to attention, runs with gusto.

As he passes her he waves enthusiastically, no hint of his
               previous pain.

               She smiles, waves back.

With the Woman out of sight Lars collapses to the floor,
gasping for much needed, life giving, oxygen.

               EXT. LAKE - DAY

A nibble on the end of the Fisherman's line.

He reels in and checks his hook, the bait remains
               untouched. He recasts.

               EXT. LAKE SHORE - DAY

Lars runs at a slower pace, not pushing himself like
               before.

The Beautiful Woman runs towards him.

Lars spots flowers growing at the side of the shore. He
grabs one, but the stem doesn't snap and he strips the
petals. A stalk with no petals rocks in the wind.

Lars looks at the petals in his hand, throws them to the
               floor, tries again.

Lars grabs another flower, snaps the stem, runs towards the
woman, striding like a gazelle, flower held behind his
               back, a surprise.

As the gap closes he waves once more. She waves back.

He holds out the flower for her.

The Woman smiles, laughs, takes the flower, smells it's
               bouquet, continues on her run.

               Lars happy, contact made.

He runs backwards until the woman disappears around a bend.

               Lars continues with his run.

               EXT. LAKE - DAY

The Fisherman checks his watch and then his line. Still
nothing, but something has definitely taken a bite out of
               his bait.

               EXT. LAKE SHORE - DAY

Lars runs towards a gate, opens it, goes through, about to
               run on.

               The Woman approaches.

Lars stops, opens the gate for her, with a flourish. Again
she laughs at him, but stops this time.

They stare into each other's eyes. A moment shared.

Lars takes a step forward, trips, finds himself flat on his
               face in the dirt.

The Woman struggles to suppress her laughter.

A chain loops around Lars's ankle.

               Lars stands, pulls at it.

It pulls back and tips him on to the floor again.

               A puzzled Lars stands again.

The chain pulls him over once more. The Woman laughs at
               him.

The chain pulls harder dragging Lars towards the lake.

Lars grabs hold of the gate, holds on with all his might.

               The chain pulls harder.

               Lars's fingers stretch.

The Woman holds out a hand. Lars grabs it, looks into her
eyes, shocked at the evil he finds there.

She laughs again, naughty, mischievous, evil.

The Woman lets Lars's hand slip through hers.

The chain drags Lars towards the lake.

Lars digs his fingers into the dirt in desperation to stop
               it.

Lars stares at the Woman in horror.

She smiles in return, waves goodbye.

               Lars disappears under the water.

The woman looks around, sees another runner. She smiles,
checks enough cleavage shows and jogs towards him.

               EXT. LAKE - DAY

The Fisherman smiles, his rod bent almost double with the
               weight of his catch.

                                   FISHERMAN
Ah, there's nothing like a good
                         day's fishing.

                                                            FADE OUT.
